AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OE THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE 01= CALIFORNIA, AN "R-3" (MEDIUth
DENSITY - RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-~
1 Tile Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
2 of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIEI as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
6 zoned as an "R--3" (Medium density -- Residential) District, and
7 such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
8 and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 area of a3utte County, Calico, mare particularly described as
31 follows:

13 Recorder, and a portion of Lot 4 of said
"Esmeralda Tract" described as fallovrs:

Beginning at a paint on the easterly line of
15 said Lot 4 located 198.0 ft. southerly from
the northeast corner of said Lot 4; thence
1s westerly, parallel with the north line of
said Lot 4 300 ft; thence southerly at right
17 angle 433.9 ft; thence easterly at right angle
300 ft. to the easterly line of said Lot 4;
18 thence northerly along said easterly line
433.9 ft, to the paint of beginning.

Containing 13.0 acres, more ar less.

23 SECTION 2. P.EGULATIONS FOR AN "R-3" DISTRICT:
22 The fallowing regulations shall apply in an "R-3°`
23 District.
24 (A) .USES PERMITTED:
25 1. One_family dwellings, two-family dwellings
28 and multiple family dwellings, not including

1 tents, trailers, or mobile homes.
2 2, Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
g uses.
4 3. Household pets (but not including livestac~C,
5 poultry or poisonous reptiles).

7 IN EACH CASE:
8 1. Golf courses and country clubs.
g 2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
10 firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds,
11 schools and public utility buildings.
12 3. Sales .tract office.
13 (C) THE PP,OVISIONS OF SECTION 24-33 SHALL APPLY.
Z4 SECTION 3. All uses of land alithin the district nvt
15 specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
lg SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
17 Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
18 adding this Ordinance in full.
19 SECTION 5, The penalties for the violation of the
20 zoning hereby imposed ti~ri thi n the district steal 1 be~ as provided i n
21 the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
22 after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
23 Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
24 SECTION 6, This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
2S declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30)
26 days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of

fifteen ~1S} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the naves of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico
Enterprise a newspaper published i n the County of Butte,
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
~Cnunty of Butte, State of California, on the lith day of
October , 1977, by the following vote:
