FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) ZONE, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as.follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned as an "R-1's {Single Family Residential} District,
and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted
uses and regulations hereinafter specified and providedo
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
area of Butte County, Paradise, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the center of Sec. 19, T22N, R4E,
1vIDB & M; thence west along the centerline of
said Seco 19 to the east right-of-way line
of Pentz Magalia Hwy.; thence south along said
right-of-way line to the easterly prolongation
of the south right-of-way lane of Pearson Road;
thence west along said right-of-way line of Pearson
Road to the northwest corner of Lot 4 of that parcel
map recorded an Map Book 53 on Page 22 of the
Butte County Recorder; thence continuing along
said right--of-way line 115.0 fto; thence S
1$° 49' 20ss W, 171.01 ft. to the north line
of Lot 9 of "Stearns Tracts` per Map of Record
in Map Book A on Page 14 of the Butte County
Recorder; thence west a~.ong the north line of
said Lot 9,.,to the northwest corner of said Lot 9;
thence S--0°' 14' ' 30's, E,-'746: ft .;~ thence' S 4° 42'
30" W, 154 95 ft.; thence S 89a 04' E, 580.90 ft.;
thence S lg 55' E, 251 ft. to the north line of
s`Drendel Sub" per Map of Record in Map Book 20
on Pages 10 and 11 of the Butte County Recorder;
thence west along the north lane of said 'sDrendel
Sub" to the northw~;st corner of said 'tDrendel Sub";
thence south along the west line of said 'sDrendel
Sub's to the southwest corner of said "Drendel Sub";
thence S 890 01' 32't E to the east right-of-way
line of Pentz Magalia Hwy.; thence north along
said right-of-way line to the southwest corner of
Lot 1 of that parcel map recorded in Map Book 60

on Page 21 of the Bu-~te County Recorder; thence
easterly to the southeast corner of Parcel 2 of said
parcel map, also being on the north-south center-
line of said Sec. l~; thence north along said
centerline 846.41 ft.; thence east 195.0 ft.;
thence northerly,. parallel with the north-south
centerline, l20 ft.; thence west 185.0 ft. to
said centerline; thence north along said center-
line 415 ft. to the point of begirningo
Containing 39 acres, more or less, Paradise.
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN R-1 BISTRTCT:
(A} Uses permitted;
1. One single family dwelling per parcel, not
including tents, trailers or mobile homes.
2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
uses.
3. Household pets (but not including livestock,
poultry or poisonous reptiles}.
(B} The following uses subject to securing a use permit
I in each case:
1. Golf courses and country clubs.
2. Public and quasi-public uses including
churches, firehouses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds,
schools and public utility buildings.
3. Sales tract office.
(C) The provisions of Section 24-33 shall applyo
SECTION 3o All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.

SECTION 4. In,c.ompliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
adding this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ord~.nance shall from
and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty
C30) days after the date of its passage, and h~efore the expiration ~',
of fifteen {15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shah. be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Rti,
Gazette , a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the lath day of November,
