.AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "A-150"
{A~RICULT[TRAL) DISTRICT
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
2 State of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-30 of
3 the Butte County Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN
4 as f allows
5 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
6 the County of Butte, State of California, shall. be and it is
'7 hereby zoned as an 'tA--16011 (Agricultural) District far a period
8 of 90 days, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions
9 anal restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified anal
14 provided.
lI Said area so zoned being located north of Chico, more
12 particularly described as follows:
13 Sections 1, 2, 12 and 13 of T23N, R1W, MDB & M.
14 That portion of Sections 3, 4, 10, 11 anal 24 of
T23N, R1W, M~7B & M.

That portion of the E/z of Sec. 1L1-, T23N, R1W,
16 MDB & M located north and east of State Hwy. 9~.
17 That portion of Sec. 25, T23N, R1W, MDB & M
located east of State Hwy. 99 and north of
18 Meridian Road.
19 Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 and
21 of T23N, R1E, MDB & M.

That portion of Sections 28 and 29 located north
21 of Rock Creek.
22 That portion of Sec. 30, T23N, R1E, MDB & M
located north of Rock Creek, excepting therefrom
23 the westerly 1309.5 ft.
24 The northerly 882.83 ft. of the westerly 1309.58 ft.
of Sec. 30, T23N, R1E, MDB & M.

Containing 20 square miles, mare or less, north of

SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A-160" DISTRICT:
{A) USES PERMITTED:
1. One single-family dwelling per parcel.
2. General agriculture, farming, horticulture,
commercial livestock, poultry production, growing and
harvesting forestry products, warehousing and storage.
3. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to
the permitted uses, including agricultural processing
plants.
4. Housing facilities (including trailers} to
accommodate only employees and their families employed
by the owner or operator of the premises; and provided
further that such housing facility shall be considered
accessory to the main building and shall confirm to the
provision pertaining to required yard and open space
far dwellings.
5. Mining, quarrying, commercial excavation and
wood processing plantso
6. Hunting anal fishing camps, including those
which accommodate recreational vehicles and travel
trailers, providing that said recreational vehicles
and travel trailers shall not be used for year-round
occupancy.
{B} Minimum Lat Area Required:
Minimum lot area shall not be less than one
hundred sixty (160) acresa

(C) Front Yard Requirement:
1"tinimum front yard shall be fifty C50) feet from
the centerline of the road, except where the road is
classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
Road, the minimum building setback requirement shall
be fifty-five (jj) feet from the centerline of said road.
(17) Side and rear yard required:
Minimum side and rear yard shall not be less than
twenty-five (25) feet.
SECTION 3. .All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
adding this ordinance in full.
SECTION 5o The penalties far the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided
in the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from
and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, and bef ore the expiration of fifteen
(l~) days after its passage shall be published once wa.th the names
of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against
the same in the Chico Enterprise Record, a newspaper in general
circulation in the County of Butte, State of California. The fact
constituting the urgency on which this Ordinance is based is:

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 29th day of November,
197'], by the following vote:
