HomeMy WebLinkAbout1893AN ORDINx- E ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON RTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA {Vehicle Code Section 22358) ORDINANCE 1893 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, 2 does ordain as follows: 3 Section l: -Said Board firids and determines that upon they basis of an 4 engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described 5 on the attached Exhibit '"A" come within the provisions of Section 22358 of the 6 Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five 7 (55) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways and 8 determines and declares a prima facie speed limiit on such Butte County 9 highways as follow: ld That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles per hour is I1 hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 25 MILES 12 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county 13 highways in the Thermalito area as shown an the attached Exhibit ""A". I4 Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. ~5 are hereby repealed. ~6 Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and ~`~ terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable and ~$ the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section or term ~~ thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor' render the 20 same inoperative or invalid.
