AN ORDINANCE BONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "TP-L60" (TIMBER
LAND PRESERVES DISTRICT PURSUANT TO C~~fER

1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
2 of CaJ..if ornia, under and pursuant to Chapter 2~+--29 of the Butte
3 County Code of sa~.d County DO ORDAIN as follows;
4 SECTION. 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
S the County of Butte, State of Ca~.ifornia, shall be and it is
6 hereby zoned as a "TP-160" (Timber Land Preserve) District, and
7 such area shall be subject to the restr~.ctions and restricted
8 uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
g Said area so zoned being Located in the unincorporated
10 area of Butte County, more particularly described as follows:

SECTION 2. REGUI~A.TIONS FOR A "TP-160" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in a `1TP--160"
(A} USES PERMITTED:
1. Compatible uses being any use which does not
significantly detract from the use of the property for,
or inhibit, growing and harvesting timber, and shah.
include, but not be limited to the fallowing, unless
in a specific instance such a use would be contrary to
the preceding definition of compatible use;
a. Housing, one dwelling per parcel.
b. Management of watershed.
c. Management for fish and wildlife habitat
or hunting and fishing o
d. A use integrally related to the growing,
harvesting and processing of forest products,
including but not limited to roads, log
landings, and lag storage areas.
e. The erection, construction, alteration, or
maintenance of gas, electric, water or
communication transmission facilities.
f. Grazing.
g. Mining, and :any use integrally related ~. ~ ,
thereto. -

(B) LoT AREA
Minimum required area of a lot shall ia.ot be less
than one-hundred and sixty (160} acres for "TP-160"0
(C} FRONT YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum required front building setback shall be
not less than fifty (50} feet from the centerline of
the road, except where the road is classified by the
County as a Federal .Aid Secondary Road, the minimum
required front building setback shall be not less than
fifty--five (55) feet from the centerline of the road.
(D) SIDE YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum required side building setbacl~ shall be
not less than twenty-five (25) feet for "TP-160."
(E) REAR YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum required rear building setback shall be
not less than fifty C50) feet for "TP-160."
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibitedo
SECTION 4o In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter z4, the same is hereby amended by
adding this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 50 `fh.e penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided
in the Butte County Code, Ghapter 24, this Ordinance shall from
and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of
the Butte County Code, Chapter 2.4.

SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty
C30} days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration
of fifteen {15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Orovi~le mercury
a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of California.
