ORDINANCE N0, 1900
AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "AR-MH-3" (AGRI-
CULTUR.A.L RESIDENTZA.L-MOBILE HOME-3 ACRE PARCELS)
DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER z4-29a
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-2~ of the Butte
County Cade of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned as an "AR-MH--3" {Agricultural Residential-Mobile
Home-3 acre parcels) District, anal such area shall be subject to
;the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter
specified and provided.
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
area of Butte Coun-L~, Oroville, more particularly described as
(follows:
That portion of the S lf2 of Sec. 35, T19N,
R3E, MDB&M, located west of Lone Tree Road
and east of Pawer House Hill Road.
Containing 114 acres, more or less, Orovillea
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN 'TAR-- MH-3" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in~an 'TAR-MH-3"
(District:
(,A) Uses Permitted
la One single-family dwelling per parcel.
2. Mobile Homes - to house one family, when such
mobile home is the only housing facility located on the
premises,isovided the following conditions are conformed
ta:
a. The gross area of the mobile home shall not
be less than 500 square feet.

3. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
uses.
4. Agricultural uses.
5p Livestock, subject to requirements as follows:
1n addition to the minimum square footage
required to be devoted to residential use the
following minimum lot or parcel areas shall be
required for each animal raised or kept on the
premises:
a. For each horse or head of cattle over
one {1) year of age -- eight thousand one hundred
twenty-fzve (5,125} square feet.
b. For each head of swine aver ten (10) weeks
of age - eight thousar~.d one hundred twenty-dive
(8,125) square feet.
c. For each head of sheep or goats - two
thousand (2000) square feet.
(B} The following uses subject to securing a use permit
in each case:
1. Golf courses, country clubs, if permitted would
permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro shop,
cocktail bar, restaurant.
2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools
and public utility buildings.

5o Nurseries and plant gardens.

{C) Lot area required:
Minim~.m required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall be not less than three C3) acres.
(D) Lot width required:
1`'Iinimum lot width shall be not less than one
hundred thirty (130) feet.
(E) Front Yard required:
M~.n~.mum front yard shall. be fifty {50) feet from
the centerline of the road, except where the road is
classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road,
the minimum building setback requirements shall be
fifty-five C55) feet from the centerline of the road.
(F) Side and rear yard requiredo
Minimum side and rear yard shall not be less than
ten {10} feet.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically au.thoriz~.d and permitted are prohibiteda
SECTION 4. In .compliance with the provisions of said
utte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
riding this Ordinance in full..
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the

after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty
{30) days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration
of fifteen {15} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and .against it in the Oroville Mercury
Register, a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State
of California.
