HomeMy WebLinkAbout1901ORDNANCE N0. 1901 AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "A-160" (AGRICULTU.[~AL) DISTRICT 1 2 3 4 5 6 '7 8 s 10 1Z 3.2 13 Z4 15 16 ].7 I' 18 19 2Q 2]. 22 2~ 24 2B 26 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-30 of the Butte County Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in the Coun~r of Butte, State of Cali~'ornia, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "A-160" (Agricultural) District for a period of one year, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located north of Chico, more ~ particularly described as follows: Sections 1, 2, 12 and 13 of T23N, R1W, 1`~DB&M. That portion of Sections 3, 4, 10, 11 and 24 of T23N, R1W, MDB&M. That portion of the E lj2 of Sec. 14, T23N, R1W, MDB&M located north and east of State Hwy. 99- That portion of Sec. 25, T23N, R1W, MDB~M located east of State Hwyo 99 and north of Meridian Road. Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, 18, 20 and 21 of T23N, R1E, MDB&Mo That portion of Sections 28 and 29 located north of Rock Creek. That portion of Sec. 30, T23N, R1E, MDB&M located north of Rock Creek, excepting therefrom the westerly 1308.58 ft. The northerly 882n83 ft. of the westerly 1309.58 fto of Seto 30, T23N, R1E, MDB&M. Containing 20 square miles, more or less, north of Chico. 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 3 Ala ].I 12 ~.3 14 15 16 1'7 18 I9 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A-150" DISTRICT: (A) USES PERMITTEDc 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel. 2. General agriculture, farming, horticulture, commercial livestock, poultry production, growing and harvesting forestry products, warehousing and storage. 3. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to the permitted uses, including agricultural processing plants. 4. Housing facilities (including trailers) to accommodate only employees and their families employed by the owner or operator of the premises; and provided further that such housing facility shall be considered accessory to the main building and shall conform to the provision pertaining to required yard and open space for dwellings. 5. Mining, quarrying, commercial excavation and wood processing plants. 5. Hunting and fishing camps, including those which accommodate recreational vehicles and travel trailers, providing that said recreational vehicles and travel-trailers shall not be used for year-round occupancy. (B) MINIMUM LOT AREA REQUIRED: Minimum lot area shall not be less than one hundred sixty {150} acres. -2- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 io Z1 12 13 ],4 15 Z6 17 18 ~.s 20 2I 22 23 24 25 26 (C) FRONT YARD REQUIREMENT: Minimum front yard shall be fifty {50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where the road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty--five C55) feet from the centerline of said road. (D} SIDE AND REAR YARD REQUIRED: Minimum side and rear yard shall not be less than twe~.ty-five {25) Feet. SECTION 3o All uses of land within the district not specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited. SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding this ordinance .in full. SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County Code, Chapter 240 SECTION 6.
