The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte „ State
of Calif ornia, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-30 of the Butte
County Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated ~n
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby Zoned ~~ an "A-~5i1 (.A.gricultural} .District for a period of
one year, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and
restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and providedp!
Said area so Zoned being located north of Chico, more
particularly described as follows:
Parcel l:
That portion of Section 25, T23N, R1W, MDB&M
located south of Meridian Road, east of State
Highway 99, and north of Rock Creeko
That portion of the westerly 1309058 ft. of
Sec. 30, T23N, RIE, MDB&M located north of
Rock Creek, excepting therefrom the northerly
882083 fto of said Seco 30.
Parcel 2:
That portion of the W lj2 of Sec. 14, T23N, R1W
located east of State Highway 990
Containing 126053 acres, more or less, north of
Chicao
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A--S" DISTRICT:
(A} USES PERMITTED: .
la One single-family dwelling per parcel.
2. General farming, horticulture, commercial live-
stock, poultry production, warehousing and storage.

3. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to
the permitted uses, including agricultural processing
plantso
4o Housing facilities (including mobile homes)
to accommodate only agricultural employees and their
families employed by the owner ar operator of the
premises; and provided further that such housing
facility shall be consider~:d accessory to the main
building and shall conform to the provision pertaining
to required yard and opexa. space for dwellings.
5o Mobile homes to house one family when such
mobile home is the only housing facility located on the
premises, provided the following conditions are conformed
to.
ao The floor area within the mobile home shall
not be less than five hundred C500) square feet,
b. The parcel of land conforms to Section
24-72(C) {Minimum lot area of 5 acres), or is a
smaller parcel of land lawfully created.
{B} The following uses are permitted subject to
securing a use permit in each case:
1. Gaff courses and country clubs.
2. Public or quasi--public uses including churches,
fire houses, hospitals and clinics, parks and play-
grounds, schools, public utility buildings.

{C) The requirements of Section 2~-33 of this code
notwithstanding, the minimum lot area in "A-5" zones shall not
be less than five acres.
SECTION 3. All uses of Land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibitedo
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
adding this ordinance in full .
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided
'in the Butte County' Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shah. from
and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of
the Butte County Code, Chapter 2~+.
SECTION 6. This urgency ordinance shall take e.~fect
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (l5) days after its passage shall be published once
with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting
for and against the same in the Chico Enterprise--Record, a news-
paper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of
Calif ornia. The fact constituting the urgency or. which this
ordinance is based is:
1. To protect the health, safety, and welfare of the
public.

County of Butte, State of Californ' on the 21st day of February,
198, by the following vote:
