BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, Liz Root, Revenue Recovery Specialist, Senior of the Department of Employment and Social Services
(DESS), has announced her retirement effective March, 29, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Liz began her career with the County of Butte and DESS in March 1983 as an Account Clerk, promoting
to Revenue and Reimbursement Officer in February 1995, then Revenue Recovery Specialist in December 2004. Liz
promoted to her current responsible position as a Revenue Recovery Specialist, Senior in June 2015; and
WHEREAS, having served the majority of her employment in the Revenue Recovery unit in various, capacities, Liz
has proven to be extremely hardworking and willing to take on any assignment; and
WHEREAS, Liz has devoted her career to assuring that people in our community were served in a caring and
professional manner by providing excellent customer service; and
WHEREAS, Liz has worked diligently in the best interest of Butte County and its citizens, earning the respect of her
supervisors, her peers, and the many community members she has served over the years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of Butte County,
extends its appreciation for your many years of dedicated service.
