HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-048WHEREAS, the Beard of State and Community Corrections released the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance
Grant (JAG), Program Request for Proposals on December C, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the JAG Program priority areas of need include Prevention and Education Programs, Law Enforcement
Programs, and Prosecution, Courts, Defense, and Indigent Defense; and
WHEREAS, the Probation Department will develop a proposal to meet one or more of the priority areas listed
above to provide needled services to probationers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorize the Butte County
Probation Department to submit a JAG (Program proposal on behalf of the County as lead Agency; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Probation Officer, or his designee, is hereby authorized and empowered
to execute JAG Program documents on behalf of the County of Butte, including but not limited to, proposals, payment
requests, agreements, and amendments necessary to secure JAG Program funds and to implement the JAG Program if
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 911 day of April, 2019, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Lucero, Ritter, Teeter, and Chair Lambert
NOES: None
