THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL'S STATE/LOCAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Butte County designated the Friends of the Arts -Butte County as the local partner for the California
Arts Council's State/Local Partnership Program in 2004, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019; and
WHEREAS, Butte County would be eligible for State art funds should the County have an arts council that meets
funding criteria of the California Arts Council's State/Local Partnership Program; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Arts, a program of the Upstate Community Enhancement Foundation, has applied
for funds on behalf of Butte County upon receiving the Board's designation in past years; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Arts is eligible to apply for funds, and has shown the desire and motivation to
merit being granted the title of Butte County's Arts Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby designates Friends of the
Arts -Butte County as the local partner for the California Arts Council's State/Local Partnership Program for fiscal years
October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020 and October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021.
