The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:

Section 1: Said Board finds and~determin.es that ixpon the basis b an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter-described
come within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is more
than is reasonable and safe on said highways and determined and declares a
puma facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five {35) miles per hour is
hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 miles
signs he placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County
highways to wit:
1. JUSTESON ROAD FROM WEST BIGGS-GRIDLEY ROAD TO ONE-HALF M1LE WEST.
2. LA PORTE ROAD FROM 0.45 MILES NORTH OF BINET ROAD TO 1.17 MILES NORTH
OF BINET ROAD
Section 2: A11 ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable and
the invalidity, if any, of any feature, .:part, provision:; section or term
thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the
same inoperative or invalid.
Section 4: The Department of Public Words of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption
hereof.

This ordinance shall take effect thirty {3O) days after its passage,
and before the expiration, of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall
be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California.
