The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
C.alfarnia, DO ORDAIN as follows:

Section 1. That Article XII.S, erititled "Coroner Fees"
and §2-94 of Chapter 2 of the Butte County Code are hereby added
to read as follows:
§2-94. Where the coroner has authorized the embalm-
ing of a dead body at the request of the family of the decedant or
by a persan.~authorized to take charge of the body prior to such
embalming, the coroner may charge One Hundred Dollars (5100} far
such service. Provided further, however, where the family has
not been located within twenty-four hours of the coroner's custody
of the body, that family shall only be charged Thirty Dollars
($30). Provided further, however, that nothing in this section
shall be deemed to limit the collection of additional amounts for
the services if authorized pursuant to the provisions of the
Probate Code or any other laws.
Section 2. This ordinance sha11 be and it is hereby
declared to be in fu11 force and effect from and after thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, this ordinance sha11 be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting far and against it in the Chico Enter rise
Record , a newspaper published in. the County of
Butte, State of California.
