UPON RETIREMENT FROM!
;6UTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
WHEREAS, Dorian Kitne|l, Director of the Department of Behavioral Health, has announced his retirement
effective June 7,201q;and
WHEREAS, Dorian has dedicated his life working |nthe mental health field invarious capacities including County
Mental Health Services working his way up from a Mentail Health Counselor to his current position of Director, Behavioral
Health. Additionally, Dorian has served as Disaster Mental Health Manager for the Red Cross providing critical response
to National disasters such as the World Trade Center attacks and Hurricane Katrina; and
WHEREAS, Dorian joined Butte County Department of Behavioral Health in May 24, 2014 serving as Director, and
Dorian has done an exemplaryjob in supporting and helping the department achieve positive outcomes such as enhanced
client care, expanded collaboration among County and community partners, and improved morale among the Behavioral
Health work force; and
WHEREAS, Dorian has devoted his career tuimproving the lives of County residents through his Ure|essfocus en
meeting their needs through his work and by championing many mental health service initiatives; and
WHEREAS, Dorian has worked diligently imthe best interest ofthe County earning the respect Vfhis colleagues,
employees, and the many residents served.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors, on its own behalf and on behalf
of the residents of Butte County, extends its appreciation for his many years of dedicated service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 211t day of May, 2019, bythe following vote:
