WHEREAS, the, State of California has appropriated funding to reimburse cou,nties for voting system replacement
activities; and
WHEREAS, the California Secretary of State has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the
reimbursement funds, setting up necessary procedures for the allocation of those funds; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Secretary of State require the County to certify by
resolution, the approval of application(s) and contracts before submission of said appKicatiun(s) and contracts to the
California Secretary of Staite.

�W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby:
1. Appoints the County Clerk -Recorder or his/her designee as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and
submit all documents, including but mut limited to applications, contracts, contract amendments, payment
requests, and other documentation, which may be necessary for the execution of the duties and
responsibilities under the Voting System Replacement Contract 2018. Assembly Bill 1824, Chapter 38
(Stats.2018)(Voting System Replacement Contracts), pursuant to California Elections Code sections 19400 and
19402, administered by the Secretary of State.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 11th day of June, 2019, by the following
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Lucero, Ritter, Teeter, and Chair Lambert
