HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-206WHEREAS, Section 8-5 of the Butte County Code empowers the Chief Administrative Officer to proclaim the existence, or threatened existence of a local emergency when said County is affected, or likely to be affected, by a local emergency and the Board of Supervisors is not in session; and WHEREAS, on February 14 through February 28, 2019, severe storms of rain, wind and snow, known as the February 2019 Storms, hit in and around the County of Butte; and WHEREAS, the February 2019 storms lead to the evacuation of residents and major damage to roads and other critical infrastructure; and WHEREAS, on February 28, 20,19, Butte County Chief Administrative Officer Shari McCracken proclaimed a Local Emergency in Butte County, which declaration was ratified by the Board of Supervisors on March 5, 2019; and NOWTHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Proclamation of Local Emergency in Butte County due to the February 2019 Storms shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termination. vote: PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 25" day of June, 2019, by the following AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Lucero, Ritter, Teeter, and Chair Lambert NOES: ABSENT: NOT VOTING: ATTEST: Shari McCracken, Chief Administrative Officer and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors By: 1111-ID—Cal Deputy Steve Larnberollair Butte County Board of Supervisors
