The Board Qf Supervisors of the County of Butte „State of
California, DO ORDATN as follows..:....... _ _
Section 1. That §4-4 of the Butte County Cade be amended
to read as follows:
§4-4. Fees; late registration.
(a) The fee for kennel licenses shall be $10.
{b) The yearly fee for dog registration shall be $5.
(c) The fee for registration of a dog which has been in th
county less than 30 days or which has changed owners
within the preceding 30 days shall be as follows:
(1) If more than 9 months remain in the fiscal year,
the registration fee shall be $5 for unaltered
dogs and $2.50 for altered dogs.
'(2) If there remains at Least 6 months-but no more
than 9 months in the fiscal year, the registration
fee shall be~$3.75 for unaltered dogs and $1.85
for altered dogs.
(3) If there remains at least 3 months but no more
than 6 months in the fiscal year, the registration
fee shall be $2.50 for unaltered dogs and $1.25
for altered dogs.
(4) If three months or less remains in tke fiscal year
the registration fee shall be $1.25 for unaltered
dogs and $ .60 for altered dogs..
{d) If a dog is not registered during the month of July
and has been in~tk~ county' for more than 30 days or

has not changed ownership within the preceding 30 days,

{e) The fee for duplication of dog license.:tags sha11 be
$1.00.
Section 2. That §4-4.1 of the Butte County Code is hereby
repealed.
Section 3. That §4-11 of the Butte County Code be amended
to read as follows:
§4-11. Isolation, quarantine, etc., of suspected rabid
'dog ar biting dog, impounding.
Any animal which has bitten a person, or which has
been in intimate contact with a known or suspected rabid
animal, or which is rabid or suspected of being rabid, shat
be quarantined in a manner set forth by the Health Officer
pursuant to Sections 1900-1922 of the Health and Safety
Code, and Sections 2604--2b06.8 of the California Administra
five Cade, Title 17. Either the Animal Control Officer or
the Health Officer may order such quarantine. if the
animal is quarantined at the pound upon order of the Health
Officer or Animal Control Officer, said animal may be
redeemed by the owner at the end of the quarantine or
is.alation period upon. payment of the cost of boarding and
feeding such dog during its stay at the pound.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
days-after- its adoption and before the expiration of fifteen _{15.}
