HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-213i 'If 'Nik 31111111 WHEREAS, the State Legislature enacted Assembly 80| 1491 imfiscal year 1991'92 to give counties source of funding to provide public health, mental health, and social services programs for which responsib0ity was transferred to counties through the realignment ofprograms; and WHEREAS, realignment provided flexibility to counties to address local conditions within Section 17600.20(a) of California Welfare and Institutions Code which states: "Any county mrcity nrcity and county may reallocate money among accounts in the local health and welfare fund, not to exceed 10% of the amount deposited imthe account from which the funds are reallocated for that fiscal year; and WHEREAS, revenues to support public assistance programs require m transfer of ten percent of revenue to be received infiscal year 2O19-2O,estimated at$036,85A from Public Health Realignment tuthe Social Services Fund, which, iswithin the statutory transfer limit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE[T RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors authorize the transfer of ten percent of Public Health 1991 Realignment reve,nue to be received in fiscal year 2019-20 to Social Services 1991 Realignmentrexenwefor anestimated total transferto Social Services of$836,8G8and make the finding that the transfers ofrealignment revenues are based on the most cost-effective use of available revenues, to maximize client outcomes.
