HomeMy WebLinkAbout1923ORDINANCE N0. 1923 AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "A-5" (AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29. 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State 2 of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte 3 County Code of paid County DO ORDAIN as follows: 4 SECTION ~.. The hereinafter described area situated in 5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is 6 hereby zoned as an "A-~5" (Agricultural) District, and such area T shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and $ regulations hereinafter specified and provided. 9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated 10 area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as follows I]. That portion of Section 25, T23N, R1W, MDB&M located south of Meridian Road, east of State 12 Highway 99, and north of Rock Creek; and that portion of the westerly 762.95 ft, of Sec. 30, ~.3 T23N, RlE, MDB&M located north of Rock Creek, excepting therefrom the northerly 882.83 ft. of ],4 said Sec. 30. 15 Excepts-g~ from all of the above the following described parcel: 16 Beginning at a point located on the west line 17 of Sec. 30, T23N, R1E, NIDB&M located 882.83 ft. lout of the NW corner of said Sec. 30- thence 18 S 02~ 6' 15" E, 18.7 ft.; thence S 60d 28' W 83 ft~.; thence S 20 21' 15" E 593.12 ft.• thence ~-~ N 87 53' 45" E, 650.83 ft.; thence, N 02d 06' 15" W, 6.2.21 ft.; thence S 88°~2g' 15" W 752.95 ft. 20 to the point of beg~.nning. 2I - - - 22 - - - 23 ---' 24 -- - - 25 - - - 26 - - - -1- 1 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A-5" DISTRICT: 2 The following regulations shall apply in an "A-5" 3 District: 4 (A) USES PERMITTED: 5 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel. 6 2~? General farming, horta.culture, commercial live- ? stock, poultry production, warehousing and storage. 8 3. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to the 9 permitted uses, including agricultural processing plants. 10 4. Housing facilities (including mobile homes} to 11 accommodate only agricultural employees and their Z2 families employed by the owner or operator of the 13 premises; and provided further that such housing facility Z4 shall be .considered accessory to the main building and ].5 shall conform. to the provision pertaining to required 16 yard and open space for dwellings. ].'7 5. Mobile Homes to house me famil~r' whet. such Mobile ~.8 Home is the only housing facility located on the premises Z9 provided the following conditions are conf ormed to: 2d a. The floor area within the Mobile Home shall 21 nit be less than five hundred (500) square feet. 22 b. Golf courses and country clubs. 2. Public or quasi--publa.c uses including churches, fire houses, hospitals, and clinics, parks and play- grounds, schools, public utility buildings. {C) The requirements of Section 24-33 of this Cade nat- withstanding, the minimum. lot:.area in A-5 zones shall not be less than 5 acres. SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited. SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding this Ordinance in full. SECTION 5. The penalties £or the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County Code, Chapter 24. SECTION 6.
