HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-248and Resolution No. 19-248 RESOLUTION ALITORIZING A CASH ADVANCE OF UP TO $100,000 TO COUNTY SERVICE AREA 82 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is the governing body for County Service Area 82, Stirling City Sewer (CSA 82); WHEREAS, the County has received a reimbursement based planning grant for a replacement sewer system in CSA 82; and WHEREAS, CSA 82 does not have adequate, cash balances to manage a reimbursement based grant without assistance from other County funds; and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25214.4 authorizes the County Board of Supervisors, by a four-fifths vote, to loan any available funds of the County to a County Service Areas to pay for any lawfuil expenses of the County Service Area for a period that does not exceed three years after the end of the fiscal year in which the loan was made. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes, a cash advance of up to $100,000 to CSA 82 for the purposes of cash flow for a reimbursement based planning grant to be repaid no later than June 30, 2022 with interest at the County treasury rate BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Auditor -Controller is directed to report to the Boardi of Supervisor's quarterly on any outstanding balance.
