ORDINANCE N0. 1928
AN ORDINAN:~E BONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY
OF BYiITTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "R-2" {DUPLEX
RESIDENTIAT~ DISTRICT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte„State
2 of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter descr~.bed area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
6 zoned as an t`R-2" (Duplex Residential) District, and such area
7 shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses anal
8 regulations here~.nafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
~.0 area of Butte County, Chico, m.orc particularly described as follows
L1 All of "Linda Gardens Unit No. 3" per Map
of Record in Map Book 38 on Pages 98 and 99
12 of the Butte County Recorder, excepting
therefrom Lots 28 and 32 of said "Lindo
1.3 Gardens Unit No. 3";
14 Containing 12.20 acres, more or less.
15 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "R~-2`t DISTRICT
~.6 The following regula'~ion~ shall apply in an "R-2"
17 Distr~.ct:
18 (A) USES PERMITTED
19 1. All those uses permitted in "R-~1" (Single-
20 Family Residential) Districts.
21 2. Duplex (two family') dwelling units.
22 3. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
23 uses.
24 4. Household pets (but not includa.ng livestock,
25 poultry or poisonous reptiles.)

(B} TKE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE:
1. Golf courses and country clubs.
2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds, schools and
public utility buildings.
3. Sales tract office.
(C) THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 24--33 SHALL APPLY.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited,
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
:Butte County Code,'Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
adding this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
'the Butte Caunty Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty C30)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage,•this Ordinance shall be
publ~.shed once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting far and against it in the Chico Enterprise
Record, a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California.

1978, by the following vote
