The Board of Supervisors of the Gaunty of Butte, State
of California, under and Iaursuant to Chapter 2429 of the Butte
County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, sha11 be and it is
hereby zoned as a "TIC-5" (Timber Mountain) District, and such
area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area sa zoned being located in the incorporated
area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as
folloz,rs
Lots I and 2 , and the south half of the northeast
quarter of Section 4, in township 23 north, range 2 east,
I.IDB ~~1~~I .
Excepting therefrom the following described parcels of
land:
Beginning at the one quarter Section corner of t':~e north
line of Section 4 toi~msllip 23 north, range 7 east,
running thence southerly along the north and south
centerline o:~ said Section 4 to the centerline of the
Cohasset County Road; tlxence northeasterly along said
line to the north 1 ine of Section 4 ; thence ~~resterly
along said line to tl~e point of beginning.
Also excepting therefrom tla.e following described
property:
Beginning at the center one quarter Section corner of
said Section 4; thence south 89° 45' east along the
center one quarter Section line, 467.00 feet; thence
leaving said line north 0° 03' east 2112.39 feet to a
point on the centerline of Cohasset Road; thence along
centerline of said Road sauth 43° 17' west 511.40 feet
and south 47° 13' west 159.15 feet to a point on the
one quarter section line; thence south 00° 03' west
along said lane 1630 feet to the point of beginning.

minerals" as reserved in Deed from Lester L. Sherwood
et al to A. Robert Kenyon, et ux, dated February 25,
1955 and recorded April 14, 1955, in Boolc 764, of
Official Records, at page 492.
And also excepting therefrom the fallowing described

All that portion of Lots 1 and 2 of the northeast

Beginning at anoint in the centerline of Chico--
Col~asset Road from which point the southwest corner of

{4) north 86° 11' 44" east 1472.Oo feet. Thence from
said point of beginning along tl~e centerline of said
Chico-Cohasset Road south 44° 54' 00" west 817.33 feet,
thence leaving said centerline south. 00° 03' 00" west
528.73 feet, thence so~~th 39° 4S' 00" east 1363.72 feet,
thence north 00° 03' 00" east 196.48 feet, thence north
49° 28' 04" west 380.90 :feet, thence north 02° OS' 39"
t~rest 308.75 feet, thence north 53° 22' 23" t~aest 605.21
feet to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom all that portion of said lots 1
and 2 located between Cohasset Road and ,Maple Branch
Creek.
SECTIOi~T 2. REGULATIONS FORA "TAI-5" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in a A'T?,l_S,.
1)iStrict .
(A) USES PER`ITTTED:
1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, including
mobile home.

2. ~~anagement, raising, harvesting and removal of

food crops for human ar animal consumption.
3. Kee?~ing and raising small animals for domestic use,
including dogs, cats and household pets, poultry
and other birds, bees, fish. and frogs.
4. Keeping, raising and pasturing of cattle, horses,
sheep, goats, hogs or othex Livestock, provided that
no more than two (2) such animals be kept per acre
on parcels o£ Less than five (5) acres and no more
than four (~) such animals be kept per acre on
parcels of five (S) acres or more.
5. ~'rospecting, claiming, drilling, mining, excavating
and dredgin ; of mineral , hydrocarbon and geothermal
resources, except as Limited in Section (B) below.
6. Protection of land and forests from Fire, erosion,
floods, slides, quakes, insects, diseases and
pollution, including arboretums and natural wilder-
ness,experimental and study areas.
7. ~]isplay and sale of products of agricultural uses
and home arts and crafts produced on the premises.
8. Accessory uses, improvements and structures cus-
tomary and pertinent to permitted uses, extent as
limited in Section (B) beio~,*, including guest housos,
barns, sheds, shops, garages and storage areas.

SECTION 4. In compliance Yvith the provisions of said.
Butte County Code , Chaptor 24, the. same is hereby amcndec~ lay adding
this Ordinance ~.n full.
SECTION 5. Tl-~e penalties fay the violatian of the
zoning hereby imposed within the distract shall be as providecl. in
the Butte County Code, Cl3apter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION G . This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (3D}
days after the date of its passage, a~~.d befare the expiration of
fifteen (I~) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the I~oard of
Supervisors voting for and agail~st it in the Chico Enterprise
Record a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of Cali:l"ornia.~
