The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, underaand pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned as a "C-2" (General Commercial} District, and such
area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
area of Butte County, Paradise, more particularly described as
(follows:
The westerly 275 ft. of the southerly 50 ft.
of the northerly 660 ft. of the easterly 1406.51
ft. of the southeast quarter of Section 21, T22N,
R3E, MDB&M.
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS .FOR A "C-2" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in a "C-2"
(District:
(A} USES PERMITTED:
1. Dwelling and dwelling groups, subject to the
building site area,' lot width and yard requirements
specified for residential districts.
2. All uses permitted in "C-~l" (Light Commercial}
Districts.
3. General Commercial uses including art shops,
aviaries, bar and cocktail lounges, billiard parlors and
pool halls, bowling alleys, building material (retail)
1 cleaning and pressing establishments, dance halls,
2 interior decorating shops, employment agencies, govern-~
3 mental legislative buildings, ~utnasiums, public,
4 commercial or physical cultural studios, hospitals,
5 hotels and motels, laboratories and ~-ray facilities,
6 massage parlors and reducing salons, equipment rentals,
7 pet chaps, used car lots, repair garages, auto car
8 washes, plumbing shops, cabinet shops, sign manufacturing
9 chaps, and other retail establishments when interpreted
10 as similar.
I1 4. Accessory uses and buildings pertinent to a
Z2 permitted use.
L3 (~3)THE FALLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
14 IN EACH CASE:
Z5 1. Welding shops.
16 2. 1"ianufacturing of clothing, handicraft products,
17 printing, lithographing and other light manufacturing
18 or ~ustrial uses of similar character.
19 3. Public or quasi-public uses including churches.
20 4. Service stations, drive--in restaurants, kennels
2I and small animal hospitals and mortuaries.
22 (C) The requirements of Section 24-33 of this code are
23 modified for all building sites in C~-2 zones in the
24 following particulars:

Z 1. Lot width required:
2 1"Iinimum lot width shall not be less than twenty~-
3 five (25) feet.
4 The lot width requirements for residential
5 dwellings shall conform to the requirements for any
6 residential zone.
7 2. Side yard requirements:
S None, except where the side of a lot abuts upon
9 the side of a lot in an "R" District, in wh~.ch case
10 the abutting side yard shall not be less than five
I1 (5} feet; and except where the side yard on the
z2 street side of a corner lot abuts on an "R" District,
13 in which case the side yard on the street side
Z4 shall be one-half the front yard required in such
Z5 "R" Districts.
16 ~ The side yard requirements:...for residential
1'7 dwellings shall conform to the requirements for any
18 residential zone.
19 3. Rear yard required:
24 None, except where the rear yard abuts an "R"
2Z District, in which case the rear yard shall be not
22 less than five ( j} feet.
23 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the d~.strict not
24 specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.

SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
adding this Ordinance in fu~.l.
SECTION ~. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the distract shall be as provided
in the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from
and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of
the Butte County Cade, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in `:full force and effect from and after thirty
(30)- days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration
of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting far and against it in the Paradise Post, a
neraspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED .AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 2Q~th~z day of June,
