BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "SR-l" {SUBURBAN
RESIDENTIAL} DISTRICT,' PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
..California, under and pursuant to Chapter 2.4-2.9 of.the.-B.utte.Co.un.ty.
Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "SR-].".(Suburban Residential} District, and such area
shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area sa zoned being located in the unincorporated
area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as
follows:
The north half of Lot 37 of "Morehead Ranch
Sub. No. 2" per Map of Record in Map Book 10
-~ ~°ori Pages 8 and 9 in the Office of the Butte
County Recorder.
Containing 5 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "SR-1" DISTRICT:
The following regulations sha11 apply in an "SR-l"
District:
(A} USES PERMITTED
1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not
including tents, trailers or mobile homes. .
2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
uses.
3. Agricultural uses excepting a minimum lot area
of 43,560 square feet to be devoted to residential use

1 and the following additional requirements far each animal

3 a. For each horse or head of cattle or swine over
4 one year of age - eight thousand one hundred twenty--
5 five (8,125) ~ square feet.
g b . For each sheep or gaat - tiro thousand (2 , 000)

g 4. The minimum lot area per dwelling unit shall not
g be less than one acre, the provisions of Section 2~-~3
lp notwithstanding.
11 5. The minimum lot width shall not be less than one
12 hundred thirty (130) feet, the provisions of Section 24-33
13 notwithstanding.
14 -(B) THE FOLLO~~ING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
15 IN EACH CASE
16 1. Calf courses and country clubs.
17 2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
lg firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgroun~.s, schools and
lg public utility buildings.
20 3. Sales tract office.

4 SECTION 5. The penalties fox the violation of the zoning

g Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and

10 declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30)
11 days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
12 fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
13 published once with the names of the members of the Board of
14 Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico Enterprise Record
1~ a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
