AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNTA, A "P-Q" (PUBLIC-QUASI
PUBLIC) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
2 of California, .under and pursuant- to Chapter 24-Z9 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORDATN as follows:
'4 SECTION. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
6 hereby zoned as a "P-Q" (Public-Quasi Public) District, and such
7 area sha11 be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
8 and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 area of~"Butte County, Oroville, more particularly described as
Z1 follows:
12 That portion of Section l7 Tl9N R4E MDB~?~~ bounded
on the south and west by 'Bowers Addition" uer
13 map of record in Map Book 7 on Page 15 of the Butte
County Recorder, and south of the north right-of-way
14 line of ~'Vyandotte Ave.
I~ SECTION Z. REGULATIONS FOR A "P-Q" DISTRICT:
16 The following regulations shall apply in"a "P-Q"
17 District,
18 {A) USES PERMITTED:
1g 1. Public schools
20 Z . Public parks
" 21 3. Public playgrounds
22 4. Publicly owned buildings and land.
23 5, Public recreational areas.
24 6, Public hospitals.

- None ;...except where the side of a lot abuts upon_the _'
side of a lot in an "R" District, in t,~hich case the
abtzttin~g. side yard shall be not less than five (5)
feet, anc~ except where the side yard on the street
side of a corner lot abuts on an "R" District, in
~,Thich case the side yard on the street side shall
be one-half the corresponding front yard required in
such "R" District,
The side yard requirements for residential dwellings
shall conform to the requirements for any residential
zone .
(E) ~Iiaiimum Front Yard:
None, except buildings and structures shall be fifty
(5Q) feet from the centerline of the road, except
where the road~is classified as a Federal Aid Second-
ary, then the minimum setback shall be fifty-five
(55) feet from the centerline of the road.
SECTION ~. All uses of land within the distxict not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited,
-SECTION 4. In compliance with the pxovisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding

SECTION 5. The penalties far the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district sha3.I be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and

after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code ,..Chapter 24._

SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (3~)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of_
fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names o.f the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Oroville Mercury, a
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.

Count7T of Butte, State of Cala.fornia, on the 22nd day of August,
