BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE,, STATE OF CALIFORNIA. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PERSONS TO SIGN~FOR AND ACCEPT SURPL FEDERAL PROPERTY FOR CIVIL DEFENSE PURPOSES, WHEREASA by Public Law 655E 84th Congress (70 Statutes 493), the Federal Government has authorized the donation of surplas federal property -for civil defense purposes; and WHEREAS certain conditions are imposed by the Federal Civil Defense Administration, the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, the California Disaster Office; and the Surplus Property Division of the State Department of Education, in connection with the acquisition of such property; and WHEREAS the COUNTY OF BUTTE desires to become eligible to acquire such surplus property; now, therefore, IT IS HERESY RESOLVED by the BOARRD OF SUPSRVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, .State of California, as follows: 1. That the following persons are hereby authorized to repres the COUNTY OF BUTTE, and to sign for and accept surplus federal pxiiperty in accordance with the conditions imposed by the above agencies to wit:. GEORGE W, GA~KLE, County Administrative Officer and Civil Defense Director of the County of Butte; DON L, SHOUP,. RESOLUTION REQUESTING LEGISLATURE TO AMEND SECTION 426 OF T EDUCATION COI?E TO RAISE THE QUALIFICATION OF THE COUNTY SUPERLNTENDENT OF .SCHOOLS, WHEREAS the County of Butte is a county of the 26th class, and in accordance with Section 42.6 of the Educatian Code of the Stain of California the County Superintendent of Schools of said county shall possess a valid elementary or secondary administrative credential issued by the State Board of Education; and WHEREAS it is the desire of the Board of Supervisors of the Couni;y ofd Butte that said qualifications be changed to require that said Superintendent shall possess a valid general administrative credential issued by the State Board of Educatian; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, State of California, as follows: ~.
