AN'ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A"R-1" {SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.

3 County Cade of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
~ the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and zt is
g hereby zoned as a "R-1" (Single Family Residential) District, and
~ such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
g and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
g Said area sa zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 area of Butte County, Chico.;~more particulaxly described as
11 follows:
12 Lots 10 through 103 of "Joshua Tree, Unit 2"
subdivision per map of record in A~Iap Book 66
~3 on Pages 1 and 2 of the Butte County Recorder.
14 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "R-1" DISTRICT:
15 The following regulations shall apply in a "R-1"
lg District.
17 (A) USES PERMITTED:
lg 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not including
lg tents, trailers, or mobile homes.
2p 2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
21 3 . I-iousehald pets (but not including livestock, poultry
22 ar poisonous reptiles).
23 {B) THE~FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
24 IN EACH CASE
2S 1. Golf Courses and country clubs.

2. Fublic and quasi-public uses including churches,
f~.rehouses, hospital.s~;- par~:s, -p laygraunds, school..s..
and public utility buildings.
3. Sales tract office.
(C) The provisions of Section 24-33 shall apply.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. Tn compliance with the provisions of .said
Butte County Cvde, Ghaptex Z4, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for t3~.e violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
-after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full farce and effect from and after thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15j days after its passage, this Ordinance sha11 be
,published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico Enterprise, a
(newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
