AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORT TON OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "R-2" (DUPLEX
RESIDENTIAL] DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CI-IAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
2 of California, under -and pursuant.. to Chapter 24 _29 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, sha11 be and it is
6 hereby zoned as a "R-2'T (Duplex Residential) District, and such
7 area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
8 regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as
11 follows:
12 Lots ~, through 9 of "Joshua Tree, Unit 2"
Subdivision per map of record in Map Book
13 66 on Pages 1 and 2 of the Butte County
Recorder.

15 5ECT'TON-'-2 , REGULATIONS FOR A "RT2" DISTRICT:
1B The following regulations shall apply in a "R-2'f
17 District.
18 {A} USES PER~iTTTED:
1.9 1. All those uses permitted in "R-1" (Single-Family
20 Residential) Districts.
21 2. Duplex (two family) d~~~elling units.
22 3. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
23 ~ 4. Household pets {but not including livestock, poultry
24 or poisonous reptiles}.

1. Gaff courses and country clubs.

and public utility buildings.
3. Sales tract office.
(C) The provisions of Section Z4-33 shall apply.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by addinb
Ithis Ordinance in foil ,
SECTION S. The penalties far the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
tlxe Butte Gounty Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date became a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter Zd.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declaxed to be in full force and effect from and after thirty {30)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen {l5) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
publis~~ed once with the names of the members of~the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in tlxe Chico Enterprise, a
newspaper published in .the County of Butte, State of California.
