AN ORDINANCE BONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "R-3;' (h'!EDIUI~I DENSITY
RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, finder and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the butte
County Code of said County DO bRDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shad be and it is
hereby zoned as a "R-3" (h~edium Density Residential) District, and
such area shah. be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated

urea of Butte County, Chico, mare particularly described as
follows;
All of "Joshua Tree" subdivision per map of
record in i~ap Book 58 on Rages 86 and $7 of
the Butte County Re carder.
SECTION Z. REGULATIOI~TS FOR A "R-3" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in a "R-3"
District,
(A) USES PER''+~ITTED:
1 . One -family di~~ell ings , two -family dwell ings and
multiple family dSaellings, not including tents,
trailers, or mobile homes,
2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
3, I-Iousehold pets (but not including livestock, poultry
or poisonous reptiles},
(B) The following uses subject to securing a use permit
in each case

2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
. firehouses, hospztals,..park5 and p~aygrouncls_,,schools
. and public utility buildings. .
3. Sales tract office.
(C} The provisions of Section 24-33 sahll apply.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. Tn compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding
(this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
-after its effective date become a supplement to anti part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This ordin once shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (l5) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and apainst.it in the Chico Enterprise, a
(newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
