The hereinafter described area situated in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby .zoned as an "M-1" (Light Industrial) District far a period of oitte~ qea~~ ~ and such area shall be subject to the restrict ions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of. Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as follows: That portion of Lot 41 of "Hobart Sub" per Map of Record in Map Boolc 4 on Page 24 of the Butte County Recorder located north of "Frontier Village Sub" per Map of Record in Map Book 38 on Pages 76 and 77 of the Butte County Recorder . SECTION 2, REGULATIONS FOR AN "M-1" DISTRICT. The fallowing regulations shall apply in an "M-1" District: (A) USES PERMITTED 1. Wholesale and storage warehouses. 2. The assembly and storage o£ goods, materials, liquids anti equipment {except the storage of inflammable matter ox explosives or materials which crate dust, odors or fumes). 3. Feed storehouses and warehouses and fuel yards. ~. The manufacturing, processing, fabricating, assembling, refining, repairing, packaging and treatment of goods, materials and products by . -. .- - power~~. {oil;.°.gas'...or"'Mel~ctric) , including, by way of example and illustration, but not limited to the manufacturing, fabrication and assembling. of bathroom shower and patio partitions, enclosures and dooxs, windows and store fronts of aluminum, plastic and fiberglass, or other suitable material and the processing, finishing, polishing and anodizing of aluminum extrusions and castings, - Z - II 1 assaying, broom and brush manufacturing, die 2 casting, ..dog pounds, draying., ..freighting or 3 trucking yard or terminals, heavy equipment rental 4 ar sale, heating and ventilating service shops, 5 jewelry manufacturing, lamp shade manufacturing, 6 lumber yards, packaging plants, public utility ', q service yard, truck repairing and overhauling 8 and welding shops. g 5. (C) -THE REQUTREA'lENTS OF SECTI-ON 24-33 OF THTS CODE ARE MODTFTED FOR ALL BUTLDINGSTTES TN M-1 zONBS IN THE FOLLOWTNG PARTICULARS: ~.. There is no Iot axea minimum nor lot width minimum except as may be required for the building and for off-street loading area and parking, Z. Side Yard: None, except where the side of a lot abuts an "R" District, in which case the side yard shall be not less than five (5) feet. 3. Rear Yard: None, except where the rear yard abuts an "R" District, in which case the rear yard shall be not Tess than five (5) feet. 4. Truck Loading and Unloading Space: Private off-street loading space for the handling of all goods, materials and equipment shall be provided. Such space shall be of sufficient area and of such design as to permit the parking and loading of vehicles without extending into any existing street beyond the curb line. 5.- Off-street Parking: One parking space far each three (3} employees or one parking space for each two thousand (2,000) square feet af.gross floor space, whichever is greater. In compliance with the provisions of said Butte County Code; _Chapter 24, ..the.. ..same is hereby amended by . adding this ordinance in full. SECTION S. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this ordinance sha].1, from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County Code, Chapter 24. SECTION 6. This urgency ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passate, and before the expiration of fifteen (l S) days after its passage shall be published ante with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against the same in the Chico Enterprise Record, a newspaper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of California.
