Butte County Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as a "C~2" (General Commercial} District for a period of one yea~~F and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located northwest of Chico, more particularly described as follows: A11 that area outside the City of Chico that Ties within the following portions of Bidwel~.'s 14th Subdivision Per Asap of Record on Page I2 and 13 of Map Book 8 of the Butte County Recorder; Lots 9 through 16 of Block 9. Lots 9 through 16 of Block 1Q. Lots ~. through 8 of Black 11. Lot S of Black 12, containing 7.56 acres, mare or less. SECTION 2. A11 uses permitted. in "C-]." (bight Commercial) ... Eistricts: 3. General Commercial uses including art shops, aviaries, bar and cocktail lounges, billiard parlors and pool halls, bawling alleys, building material (retail), cleaning and pressing establishments, dance halls, interiar decorating shops, employment agencies, governmental legislative buildings, gymnasiums, public, commercial or physical. cultural studios, hospitals, hotels and motels, laboratories and x-ray facilities, massage parlors and reducing salons, equipment xentals, pet shops, used car lots, repair garages, auto car washes, plumbing shops, cabinet shops, sign manufacture: shops, and other retail establishments when interpreted as similar. 4. Accessory uses and buildings pertinent to a permitted use. (B) THE POLI.C~IING USES Si)BJECT TO SEGi]RING A USE PERMIT IN EACH CASE 1. Welding shops, 2. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft products, printing, lithographing and other light manufacturing or industrial. uses of similar character. 3, Public or quasi.-public uses including chuxches. 4. Lot width required: Minimum lot width shall not be less than twenty-five (ZS) feet. The lot width requirements for residential dwellings shall conform to the requirements for any residential zone. 2. Side yard requirements: Nane, except where the side of a lot abuts upon the side of a lot in an "R" District, in which case the abutting side yard shall not be Tess than five (5} feet; and except where the::.side yard on the street side of a corner lot abuts on an "R" District, in which case the side yard on the street side shall be one-half the front yard required in such "R" Districts. The side yard requirements .far residential dwellings shall conform to the xequirements far any residential zone. 3. Rear yard required: Twelve {l2) feet, or five (S) feet adjacent to an alley. SECTION ~. All uses of land within the district not specifically authorized and ,permitted are prohibited. SECTION 4. The penalties for the violation of the xaning hereby-imposed within the .distract shall be as provided _ in the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Qrdinance sha11 from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County Code, Chapter 24. SECTION 6. This urgency ordinance sha11 take effect immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against the same in the Chico Enterprise Recoxd, a newspaper in general circulation in the County of Butte , State of California .! The fact constituting the urgency on which this Ordinance is based is 1. To protect the health, welfare, and safety of the public.
