BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "TM-l0" (TIMBER
MOUNTAIN, 10-ACRE PARCELS) DISTRTCT, PURSUANT TO
CHAPTER Z4-Z9.

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of Galafornia, under and pursuant to Chaptex Z4-29 of the Butte
County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows':
SECTION 1. The hereinaftex described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned as a "TM-10" {Timber Mountain, 10-acre parcels)
District, and such area sha11 be subject to the restrictions and
restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided,
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
area of Butte Gaunty, Forest Ranch, more particularly described
as follows:
That paxtion of the northwest 1/4 of the southwest
I/4 of Section ~, TZ3N, R3E, I~i]JB~M.
Containing 7.34 acres, more ox less.
SECTTON 2, REGULATTONS FOR A "TM-10" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in a "TA'l-10"
Distract.
{A) USES PERMTTTED:
1. One single-family dwelling per parcel., including
mobile home.
Z. Management, xaising, harvesting and removal of trees,
shrubs, seedlings, flowers, herbs and all food craps
for human or animas consumption .
3. Keeping and raising small animals for domestic use,
including dogs, cats and housel~ald pets, poultxy and
other birds, bees, fish and frogs.

4~. Keeping, raising and pasturing of cattle, horses,
.....sheep.,..-goats, hogs or other livestock, provided that..
no mare than two (2) such animals be kept per acre
on parcels of less than five {S) acres and no more
than faux (4) such animals be kept per acre on
parcels of five (5) acres or more.
S. Prospecting, claiming, drilling, mining, excavating
and dredging of mineral, hydrocarbon and geothermal
resources, except as limited in Section (B) below.
6. Protection of land and forests from fire, erasion,
floods, slides, quakes, insects, diseases and pollu-
tion, including arboretums and natural wilderness,
experimental an d study areas,
7. Display and sale of products of agricultural uses
and home arts and crafts produced an the premises.
~ ~ 8. Accessory uses, improvements and structures customary
and pertinent to permitted uses, except as limited
in Section {B) below, including guest houses, barns,
sheds, shops, garages and storage areas.
(B) THE PQLLQ~~~ING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE.

2. Commercial wood processing plants.
3, . Commercial Kenn-els ,and animal- hospitals.

5, Animal product processing plants.
6. Mining, quarrying and excavating activities which
might be objectionable by reason of noise, odor,
smoke, dust, bright light, vibration, stream pollu-
tion or handling of explosives or dangerous materials
7. Commercial boat ramps , docks and landing facilities .
S. Aircraft Landing Facilities.
9. Disposal areas and sewage treatment facilities.
1D. Public and quasi-public uses including schools, parks
playgrounds, recreational facilities, utility
system structures,. meeting halls, hospitals, libraries,
museums, government off-ices and similar uses.
11. Privatec~:or'commercial outdaox recreation facilities
on sites of not less than five [5) acres, including
country clubs, golf courses, riding academies and
stables, hunting and fishing camps and other clubs,
and gun clubs and xanges.
(G) THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 24-33 OF THIS CODE ARE
MODIFIED FOR ALL BUILDING SITES IN MT-lD ZONE: IN
THE FOLLOZ~IING PARTICULARS
1. Lot area required.
Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall not be less than ten {1 D) acres for "TM-1D"

5 Minimum required front building setback shall not
6 be less than fifty (5Q} feet from the centerline
7 of the road, except where the road is classified

11 from the centerline of the road.
12 4. Side yard required.

lg SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
19 specifically autho rized and permitted are prohibited.
20 SECTION 4. Tn compli-ante with the provisions of said
21 Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is .hereby amended by adding
22 this Ordinance in full.
23 SECTION 5, The penalty fvr the violation of the zoning
24 hereby imposed wit hin the district shall be as provided in the
25 Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall. from and
26 after its effectiv e date become a supplement to and part of the

_ SECTION b. Tl~-is Ordinance -shall be and it is hereby...
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty {34)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen {l5) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and agaznst it in the Chico Enterprise,
a newspaper published in the Caunty of Butte, State of Californ~.a.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of Calif on the 17th day of
October, 1978, by the folla zng vote:
