The Board of Supervisors, of the County of Butte, State
of California, D0 ORDAIN as follows:

Section: 1. That Chapter 20 of the~Butbe County Code is
hereby amended by adding §155 to read as follows:
§24-7.55. Installation of underground cable televisio
transmission and distribution lines by subdividers
and developers:
Whei-~:ever a subdivider or developer is required to
+ underground utility distribution lines to residential
units within a new single-family or multi--family
residential subdivision of five or more lots or in a
new residential development consisting of five or
more dwelling units in two or more buildings located
on a single parcel of land, extension of underground-
cable television transmission and distribution lines
will be performed by the subdivider or the developer
as follows:
The subdivider or the developer of the sub-
division or development wi11, at na cast to
the cable television franchise holder, perform
all necessary trenching anal backfilling for
underground distribution and service laterals
and provide for the installation of conduit,
faults, and pedestals for said distribution
and transmission lines and provide for the
prewiring of structures to receive cable television
service.

Section 2. This ord~.nance-shall be and it is hereby
declared to be i.n full foxce and effect from and after thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage,- and before-the expiration. of
fifteen (l5) days after its passage, this ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in theChico Eri~er rise'
Record , a newspaper published in the County of
Butte, State of California.
