AN URGENCY ORDINANCE ANfENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1974 OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE KNOWN AS THE SAEARY ORDINANCE
~ The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California, DO ORDAIN, as-...follows:.. ~_
3 Section l that Section No. 1 of Ordinance No. 1974 of the
4 County of Butte is hereby amended by deleting the entire section
5 and adding thereto the following:
6 Section 4 that Section No. 32 of Ordinance No. 7722
7 of the County of Butte entitled SHERIFF-CORONER -
8 INCARCERATION 350-003 is hereby amended by deleting
9 therefrom the following:
~0 Positions Classification Title
L1 4 Bailiff
~2 and adding thereto the following:
13 3 Bailiff
14 changing the total from 77 to lfi.
15 Section 2. This urgency ordinance shall take effect immediate
16 ly upon adoption and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days
17 after its passage, it shall be published in a newspaper published
18 in the County of Butte, state of California.
19 The facts constituting the urgency on which this ordinance
20 is based are:
ZZ 1. To protect the health, safetjr acrd welfare of the
22 residents of Butte County.
23 2. That Ordinance #1974 to be ,effective an January $, 1979
24 contains an error in the number of Bailiff positions.
23 Therefore, to avoid any confusion to the public as to the
2s number of authorized Bailiff p05it'ian5, it is necessary

for this ordinance to be effective immediately.
