ORDINANCE N0. 1988
AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY DF
BUTTE, STATE DF CALIFORNIA, A "S-R" (SUBURBAN -
RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TD CHAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California, unde.r..and .pursuant. to.. Chapter 24.-_29 of the Butte County
3 Gode of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
g zoned as a "S-R" (Suburban-Residential) District, and such area
7 shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
g regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
g Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
ZO area of Butte County, Oroville, moxe particularly described as
11 follows:
12 Beginning at the northwest corner of Section 18 T19N R5E

13 18 S 00° 04' 26" W, 708.28 feet; thence S 19° O1' 24" W
260.15 feet; thence S 69° 53' 35" W, 375.72 feet; thence
L4 N 24° 37' 26" E, 127.60 feet; thence N 65° 22' 34" W
144.63 feet; thence N 24° 37' 26" E, 380.00 feet; thence
15 S 65° 22' 34" E, 144.63 feet;-thence N 24° 37' 26" E,
327.$7, feet;. t~Zez~Ge N 2[f° 04' 06" L'~', 280.68 feet to the
16 beginning of a 510 ft. radius curve to the 1e~t; thence
along said curve a distance of 52.23 feet through a cen-
17 tral angle of 5° 52' 02" to a point on the north line of
said Section l8; thence N 8$° 35' S3" W, 498.65 feet to
lg the point of beginning. Containing 10.48 acxes, mare o~r°
less, east of Droville.

SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "S-R" DTSTRICT:
20 The following regulations shall apply in a "S-R" District
2Z ~ (A) USES PERMITTED:
22 1. One single ,family dwelling per parcel: not including
23 tents ar mobile homes..
24 2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
2g (B) Agricultural uses, except livestock, subject to the
26 following requirements:

1 1. Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential use,
2 the .following lot .or .parcel areas shall be req~zired
3 for each animal raised or kept on the premises;
4 a. For each horse or head of cattle aver one year of
~ age, one (1) acre .
g b. For each head of swine over ten weeks of age, one
7 (1) acre .
g c. For each head of sheep ox goats, one (1) acre for
g the first head and one half (1/2) acre for each
10 head thereafter .
11 (C) The following uses subject to securing a use permit
12 in each case:
13 1. Public and c{uasi-public uses, including churches,
14 hasp itals, parks and playgrounds, schools and public
lg utility buildings.
lg 2. Sales tract office.
17 (D) The provisions of Secticin 24-33 shall apply.
18 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
19 specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
20 SECTION 4. In compliance with .the provisions of said
21 Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same. is hereby amended by adding
22 this Ordinance in fu11.
23 SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
24 zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
25 the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
26 after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the

days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
