AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "A-R" (AGRICULTURAL
RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER ?4--2~.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 alifornia, under and pursuant--to Chapter. 24-29 of the,..Butte...County.
3 ode of said Caunty DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1_ The hereinafter described area situated in the
5 ounty of Butte, State o£ California, sha11 be and it is hereby
6 zoned as a "A-R" (Agricultural - Residential) District, and such
7 area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
$ egulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
16 area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as follows:
Il Lot 2 of that parcel map recorded in map book 42 on
page 34 of the Butte Caunty Recorder.

Lots 14, 15, the westerly 452 ft. of the N~/2 of Lat 9,
~.3 the westerly 360 ft . of the S1/z of Lot 9 and the W/2
of Lot 16 of "Evans Tract" per map of record in Map
14 Baok 3 on page 67 of the Butte County Recorder.
15 Containing 31 acres, more or less.
16 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "A-R" DISTRICT.
17 The following regulations shall apply in a '=A--R"

19 (A) USES PERMITTED:
20 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not including
2~ ~ tents,~trailers or mobile .homes.
22 2. Accessory buildings pertinent to permit uses.
23 3. Agricultural uses, except livestock subject to the
24 following requirements:
23 (a) Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential
26 use, the following lot or parcel areas 'shall be

required for each animal raised or kept on the

(B) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT IN
EACH CASE:

2. Golf courses, country clubs, if permitted, would
permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro
shop, cocktail bar, restaurant.
3_ Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds,
schools and public utility buildings.
4. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming.
5. Vetera.nary clinics,~outpatient.
6. Nurseries and plant gardens.
7. Sales tract office.
(C) THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 24-33 CONCERNING SITE RE-
QUIREMENTS SHALL APPLY.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the distract not

1 specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.

5 SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
G ereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
7 utte County Cade, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shad from and after
8 ~~its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte
9 ounty Code, Chapter 2L~-.
10 SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
1Z eclared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty C30}
12 ays after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
13 fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
14 ublished once with the names of the members of the Board of
15 upervisors voting for and against it in the Chico Enterprise Record,
16 newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
17 PASSED A.VD ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
18 aunty of Butte, State of California, on the 2nd day of January
19 1979, by the following vote:
