AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "C-2" (GENERAL
COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-2~.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of

SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in the
5 ounty of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
6 zoned as a "C-2" (General Commercial) District, and such area shall
7 I~ae subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations
8 ereinafter specified and provided.

I~. The easterly 1/2 of Lot 16, of "Evans Tract" per snap
of record in map book 3 on page 57 of the Butte County
12 Recorder.
13 Containing 5 acres, more. or less.
14 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "C-2" DISTRICT:
~5 The fallowing regulations shall apply in a "C---2"
~g District.
~,~ {A) USES PERMITTED:
~g 1_ Dwellings and dwelling groups, subject to the build-
~.g ings sate area, lot width and yard requirements
20 specified for residential districts.
2I 2. All uses permitted in "C-1" (Light Commercial)
22 Districts.
23 3. General. commercial uses including art shops, aviaries,
2¢ bar and cocktail. lounges, billiard parlors and pool
25 halls, bowling alleys, building material {retaa.l),
26 cleaning and pressing establishments, dance halls,

interior decorating chaps, employment agencies,
_ _ governmental legislative bu~~da~ngs,.gymnasiums,

public, commercial- or physical cultural studios,
hospitals, hotels and motels, laboratories and x-ray
facilities, massage parlors and reducing salons,
equipment rentals, pet shops, used car lats, repair
garages, auto car washes, plumbing shops, cabinet shop
sign manufacturing shops, and ather retail establish-
, meats when interpreted as sima.lar.
4. Accessory-uses and buildings pertinent to a permitted
use.
(B) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE.
1. Welding shops
2. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft products,
printing, lithographing and other light manufacturing
or industrial uses of similar character.
3. ~'ublic or quasi-public uses including churches.
4. Service stations, drive-in restaurants, kennels and
small animal hospitals and mortuaries.
{C) THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 24-33 OF THIS CODE ARE
MODIFIED FOR ALL BUILDING SITES II~T C-2 ZONE; IN THE
FOLLOWING PARTICULARS:

Minimum lot width shall not be less than twenty-five
(25) feet.

SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding
thi s Ordinanc e in full .
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and after
its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte
County Code, Chapter 24.

SECTION 6. This Ordinance shah. be and it is hereby
