In order to be in compliance with the contract amendments for the Butte County In Home Supportive Services Public Authority employees,the Butte County In Home Supportive Services Public Authority Board must approve the attached updated PERS resolution. The attached Resolution reflect the following changes: EPMC modifications agreed to by In Home Supportive Services employees,reducing the employer contribution from 3% to 0%. Fiscal Impact: N/A Personnel Impact: N/A Action Requested: Adopt the resolution and authorize the Chair of the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority Board to sign. Administrative Office Review: Shari McCracken,Deputy Administrative Officer Resolution No. RESOLUTION OF THE BUTTE COUNTY IN HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES PUBLIC AUTHORITY FOR EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS (EPMC) WHEREAS, the Butte County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority has the authority to pay and report all or a portion of the normal contributions required to be paid by a CalPERS member pursuant to Government Code Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the Butte County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority has the authority to implement, reduce, or eliminate the reporting under Government Code Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the Butte County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority has adopted a written labor policy or agreement which specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by the employer, or for the normal member contributions to be paid in part by the employee and in part by the employer (contingent upon the MOU or other labor agreement or policy), as designated below; and WHEREAS, in order to implement Government Code Section 20691 the Butte County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority must adopt a Resolution reflecting any payment of said EPMC for the employee groups designated to receive such benefit; and WHEREAS, the Butte County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority has identified the following conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC pursuant to Government Code Section 20691; Group 1: • This benefit shall apply to all MISCELANEOUS employees of: o IHSS Public Authority Board • This benefit shall consist of paying 0% of the normal member contributions as EPMC. • The effective date of this Resolution shall be December 22, 2012. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Resolution supersedes and replaces Resolution 11-003; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority elects to pay EPMC, as set forth above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this resolution is adopted on January 8, 2013 and effective December 22, 2012.
