The hereinafter described area situated in 5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is 6 hereby zoned.. ~s.-a -"R~-C'-'-~--[Resouxce-Conservation) District, and such q area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and g regulations hereinafter specified and provided. g Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated lp axea of Butte County, Oroville, more particularly described as 12 follows: ~2 A11 that property located within 100 feet of the centerline of Berry Creek, west of Oroville Quincy 13 highway and within Sections 22, 27, 28 and the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 21. all. 14 of T21N R5E PdDB€~M. ~5 All that property within the E 1/2 of the SE l/4 of the SE I/4 of Section 21, T21N R5E MDB€M located ~g below -the 1680 ft. elevation. 17 All that property in the E 1/ 2 of the SE 1/ 4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 21 T21N R5E MDBFM located l,g above the 1680 ft. elevation and within 100 feet of the centerline of Berry Creek. 19 All that property in the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of 20 the SE 1/4 of Section 21 T2lN R5E MDB~M located within 150 feet of the centerline of Berry Creek. 21 A11 containing 18 acres, more or less, northeast of 22 Oroville. 23 SECTION 2. REGULATIpNS FOR A "R-C" DISTRICT: 24 The following regulations shall apply in a "R-C" District, 2S [A) USES PERMITTED: 26 1. Natural, Wilderness and study areas. -l - ! 1 i ~ 2. Preserves for native fish, birds and wildlife. 2 _ _3, _ ~. g Preservation_of water resource areas includin 3 streams, rivers, lakes, swamps, ponds, beaches, 4 riverbanks, lakeshores and watexshed areas, 5 ~. Agricultural uses, not including permanent dwellings, 6 5. Keeping, raising and pasturing of livestock, not 7 including feed yards . 8 5, Establishment of archeological and historical sites. 9 7. Recreational uses not requiring permanent improve- ZO ments, including hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, ~.l riding and similar uses , 12 S. Emergency uses needed for the protection of land and 13 resources from fire, erosion, floods, slides, quakes, l4 insects, diseases, and pollution. 15 (B) USES REQUIRING A USE PERMIT: 16 ].. Preserves for non=native wildlife species . ~,7 2. Establishment of rest stops, vzsta points, and 18 bicycle, pedestrial and equestrian trails, not in- 19 eluding commercial sales and services. 20 3. Exploration and reconstruction of historical and 2l - archeological sites and structures. 22 4. Permanent improvements needed for the protection of 23 land and resources from fire, erosion, floods, slides 24 quakes, insects, diseases and pollution. 25 5. This permit does not exclude ._ any other permits as required by other regulatory - agencies or from rev~.ew by said agencies. (C) LOT AREA REQUIRED: Minimum lot area shall be ten (l 0) acres. (D) PRONT EUTLDING SETBACK: Minimum front building setback fox structures shall be one hundred (100) feet from the centerline of the road. [E) SIGN REGULATIONS: 1, Signs or advertising displays shall be limited to one sign per lot advertising the sale or lease of that lot or the services rendered on the lot or the pra~;.~: ducts grown or raised on the lot, and one sign ad- vertising sales or services off the premises. 2. Signs to guide traffic to registered historical landmarks axe also permitted if they are installed in accordance with the Planning Manual of Instructions of the Department of Transportation of the State of California . 3. Signs must be stationary and of a constant color, lignt, and intensity. 4. Signs must not be higher than ten (10) feet above grade and must not be wider than six (b) feet. 5. (10) feet from property lines.. SECTION 3. A11 uses of land within the district nat specifically authorized and permitted are pxahibited. SECTION 9~. In compliance with the provisions of said Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding Ithis Ord~.nance in full. SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning ;hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and aftex its effective date become a supplement t~-and part of the Butte County Cade, Chapter 24. SECTION 6, This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in fu11 force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its passage, and befaxe the expiration of fifteen {15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Oroville Mercury, a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
