The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California., under and pursuant..to _Chapt.e.r_.24-2.9..of the Butte. County
Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 24-105 of the Butte County Cade
is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS .FOR A "C-2" (General Commercial)
(DISTRICT:
Tine fallowing regulations shall apply in a "C-2" District,
(A) USES PERMITTED
1. Di~~ellings and dwelling groups, subject to the build-
~ing site area, lot width and yard requirements specified for
presidential districts.
2. All uses permitted in "C-l" (Light Commercial) Dist-
~ricts.
3. General Commercial uses including art shops, aviaries,
bar and cocktail lounges, billiard parlors and pool halls, bowling
alleys, building material {retail}, cleaning and pressing establish-
~ments, dance halls, interior decorating shops, employment agencies,
governmental legislative buildings, gymnasiums, public, commercial
or physical cultural studios, hospitals, ]~otels and motels, lab-
oratories and x-ray facilities, massage parlors and reducing salons,
equipment rentals, pet shops, used car lots, repair garages, auto
car ~+Tashes, plumbing shops, cabinet shops, sign manufacturing shops;
drive-in restaurants, and other retail establishments when inter-
~preted as similar.

2. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft pro-acts,
printing, lithographing and other light manufacturing ar industrial
uses of similar character.
3. Public or quasi-public uses including churches.
4. Service stations, kennels and small animal hospitals
and mortuaries .
(C) TI-iE REQUIRE~~'IENTS OF SECTION 24-33 OF THIS CODE ARE
MODIFIED FOR ALL BUILDING SITES IN C-2 ZONE: IN THE FOLLOj~ING
PARTICULARS:
1. Lot width required
l~4inimum lot width shall not be less than twenty-five
(25) feet.
The iot width requirements far residential dwellings
shall-conform to the requirements for any residential zone.
2, Side Yard Requirements
None, except where the side of a lat abuts upon the
side of a lot in an "R" District, in which case the abutting side
yard shall not be less than five (5) feet; and except where the
side .yaxd on the street side of a corner lot abuts on an "R"
District, in which case the side yard on the street side shall be
one-half the front yaxd required in such "R" Districts,.
The side yard requirements for residential dwellings
shall conform to the requirements for any residential zone.

None, except where the rear yard abuts an "R" District
in which ease the rear yard shall be .not-..less .than five (S) feet...
SECTION 3. Ail uses of Land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION ~. In compl~i~ah~~' with the provisions of sand
Butte County Code, Chapter 29~, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION S. The penalties for the violation of the hereby
imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Sutte
County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall .from and after its
effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County
(Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION b. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (3D)
~.ays after tl~e date of Sts passage, and before the expirat-ion of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be publisl^
ed once with the names of the membexs of the Board of Supervisors
voting for an against it in the Chico EY~.terpra.se Record
a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.

County of Butte, State of California, on-the 3rd day of April.
