HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018ORDINANCE N0. 201.8 AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "C-2" (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2429. 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of ._ 2 Calif.ornia.,.under,_and.pursuant. to Chapter 24-29 0~ the Butte Co~n~y 3 Code of said County Il0 ORDAIN as follows: 4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in ~ the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby g zoned as a "C-2" [General Commercial) District, and such area shall 7 be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations 8 hereinafter specified and provided. 9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated 10 area of Butte County, Paradise, more particularly described as 11 Ilfollows : 12 Parcel 1 of that Parcel Map of Record i.n Map Book 55 on Pages 59 F 60 of the Butte County Recorder. 13 Containing 0.56 acres, more or less, Paradise. 14 15 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "C-2" DISTRICT: 16 The following regulations shall apply in a "C-2" District. 1'7 (A) USES PERMITTED: 18 1. Dwellings and dwelling groups, subject to the 19 building site area, lot width and yard requirements 2d specified far residential districts. 2l - 2. All uses permitted in "C-1" (Light Commercial) 22 Districts. 23 3. General commercial uses including art shops, aviaries, 24 bar and cocktail lounges, billiard parlors and pool 23 halls, bowling alleys, building material (retail), 26 cleaning and pressing establishments, dance ha11s, _ 1.. 1 2 .~ 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 la ~~ 12 13 l4 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 anterior decorating shops, employment agencies, _. governmental.legislatave bu dings, gymnasiums, public commercial or physical cultural studios, hospitals, hotels and motels, laboratories and x-ray facilities, massage parlors and reducing salons, equipment rentals pet shops, used car lots, repair garages, auto car washes, plumbing shops, cabinet shops, sign manufact- uring shops, and other retail establishments when interpreted as similar. 4. Accessory uses and buildings pertinent to a permitted use. (B) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT TN EACH CASE . 1. Welding shops. 2. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft products, printing, lithographing and other light manufacturing or industra.al uses of similar character. 3. Public or quasi-public uses including churches. 4. Service stations, drive-in restaurants, kennels and sma11 animal hospitals and morturies. (C) The requirements of Section 24-33 of this code are modified for all building sites in C-2 Zane: in the following particulars: 1, i,ot width required. . Side yaxd requirements. None, except where the side of a tat abuts upon the side of a lot in an "R" District, in which case the abutting side yard sha11 not be less than five. (5) feet; and except where the side yard on the street side of a corner lot abuts on an "R" District, in which case the side yard on the street side shall be one-half the front yard required. in such "R" districts The side yard requirements fcrr re.sidentialwdwellings sha11 conform to the requirements for any residential 14 zone . 15 3. In compliance with the provisions of said 21 Butte County Cade, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding 22 this Ordinance in fu11. 23 SECTION 5.
