AN ORDINANCE AA4ENDZNG SECTION 24-125 OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE
TO ALLOiv ONE SINGLE FAMILY Dj~1ELLING PER PARCEL IN THE "N -C"
{NE"IGHBORHOOD GOD~IERGIAL) ZONE .

Cade of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 24-125 of the Butte County Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS POR A "N-C" (Neighborhaad Carnmer-
cial} DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in a "N-C" District.'
(A) USES PERi~~ITTED
1, Food stores, drugstores, hardware stores, variety
stores, jewelry stares, bookstores, laundry, barber
and beauty services, and similar personal services.
2 . Professional offices .
3. One single family dwelling per parcel, not including
tents, trailers, ar mobile homes.
(Ii) OTHER REQUIREA'IENTS
1. Capi.es of the site plan for the development sha11 be
submitted and approved by the public works department,
healtlz department, and the planning commission .
2. On any boundary line 1,~hich is a common property line
with property classified for uses in the R category,
a wall or view-obscuring fence not- less than five (5)
feet ox more than six {6) ,feet in height shall be in-
stalled and maintained for screen purposes and con-
trolling txespass; except where the wall of'a building
is on such .common property line, no separate wall or

fence need be installed along the portion of the prop-
.............. erty line occupied by. the wa11 or bu~.ding,
3. All buildings and structures shall not be closer than
fifty (~o} feet from the centerline of the street,
except where the. road is classified by the County as a
Federal Aid Secondary Road the minimum building setbacl~
requirement shall be fifty-five {55} feet from the
centerline of said road.
(C} USES PROHIBITED:
A11 uses of land within the district. not specifically
authorized and permitted under subdivisions (a} (1) and
(a) (2) above are prohibited.
13 SECTION 3. In compliance with the provisions of said
I4 utte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding

16~~ SECTION 4. The penalties for the violation of the hereby
17 imposed, within the district, sl~.all be as provided in the Butte
18 ounty Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and after its
~g ffective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County
20 Code, Chapter 24.
21.~ SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
22 eclared to be in full farce and effect from and after thirty;:(30)
23 ays after the date of its passage, and before flee expiration of
24 fifteen (15} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be pub-
25 fished once with the names of the membexs of the Board of Supervisor
26 oting for and against it in the Chico Enterprise Record
