AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24-99 OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE
TO ALLOW NURSERTES AND PLANT GARDENS IN TI-lE "A-SR" {AGRI-
CULTURAL - SUBURBAN RESTDENTTAI,} ZONE.

4 SECTION 1. That Section 24-99 of the Butte County Code is
5 exeby amended to read as follows:
C SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A-SR" (Agricultural-- Sub-
7 urban-Residential} DISTRICT:
8 The fallowing regulations shall apply in an "A-SR" Distric#
9 (A) USES PERMTTTED:
10 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not including
11 tents ar mobile homes.
12 2. Accessary buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
13 3. Agricultural uses, except livestock subject to the
i4 following requirements:
15 a. For each horse or head of cattle over one year
1S of age ane half-acre, twenty ,one thousand seven
17 hundred eighty (21,780) square feet.
18 b. For each head of swine over ten (10) weeks of age
19 one-half acre, twenty-one thousand seven hundred
20 eighty (21,780) square feet.
21 ~ c. For each head of sheep or goats, one-quarter acre,
22 ten thousand eight hundred ninety (10,890} square
23 feet.
24 {B)'Lot Area:
25 Minimum required area of lat per dwelling unit shall be
26 not less than eight thousand one hundred twenty-five

Minimum lot width sha~.l be not less than. sixty-five
(bS) feet.
(D) Fxant yard:
Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the
centerline of the road except where the road is classified
by the County of Butte as a Fedexal Aid Secondary Road,
the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-
five (55) feet from the centerline of said road.
(E) Side and rear yard required:
Minimum side and rear yard shall not be Tess than five
(5) feet.
(F) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE.
1. Public and quasi=public uses, including churches,
hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and public
utility buildings.
Z. Nurseries and Plant Gardens.
SECTION. 3. A11 uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted axe prohibited.
SECTION ~. In compliance with the provisions 4f said
Butte County Cade, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full,
SIaCTION 5, The penalties for the violation of the hereby
imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Butte County

~ ith the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting
9 fox and against it in the Chico enterprise Record a newspaper::
10 ublished in the County of Butte, State of Galifarnia.
11 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of 'the
12 County of Butte, State of California, on the '12th day of June
13 I979, by the following vote:
