AN INTERTI4I ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY
OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "SR-1" (SUBURBAN
RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 Califor.nia,. under.- and pursuant to- Chapter 24 -30 of the- Butte County
3 Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
~ the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
6 hereby zoned as an "SR-1" (Subuxban-Residential) District for a
7 period of one hundred twenty (120) days, and such area shall be
8 subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations
9 hereinafter specified and provided.
10 Said area so zoned being located northeast of Gridley,
11 more particularly described as follows:
1.2 A portion of "Ord Rancho ~ Bayles Ranch" per
map of record in Map Boak 8 on Page 24 "A"
13 on file in the office of the Butte County
Recorder more particularly described as:

That portion of Lots 18, 19,. 20, and 21
15 located within 200 feet of the centerline
of Larkin Road and the northeasterly 63:.5
16 feet of the southeasterly 260 feet of Lot 17.
17 Containing 10.88 acres, more ar less northeast of Gridley
18 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "SR-1" DISTRICT:
19 The following regulations shall apply in an "SR-1"
20 District:
2I (A) USES PERMITTED:
22 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not including
23 tents, trailers or. mobile homes.
24 2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
2S 3. Agricultural uses excepting a minimum lot area of
26 forty-tixree thousand five hundred sixty (43,560)

square feet to be devoted to residential use and the
following.-addition-al requirements for each animal
kept on the pxemises:
a. For each horse ox head of cattle or swine over
one year of age, eight thousand ane hundred
twenty-five (8,125)- square feet.
b. Fox each sheep or goat, two thousand (2,000}
square feet.
{B} THE FALLOWING USES ARE PERMITTED SUBJECT TO SECURING
A USE PERMIT TN EACH CASE:
~.. Golf courses and Gauntry clubs.
Z. Public and quasi-public uses including chuxc hes,
firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools
and public utility buildings,
3. Sales tract office.
{C) SECTION 24-33 SHALL APPLY EXCEPTING LOT WIDTH AND LOT
AREA:
1. The minimum Iot area per dwelling unit shall. not be
less than one acre, the provisions of section 24-33
notwithstanding.
2. The minimum lot width shall not be less than ane
hundred thirty (130) feet, the provisions of section
24-33 notwithstanding. .
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the distxict not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.

4 SECTION S. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
5 hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided x,n the
6 Butte County ,Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and after
7 its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte.

9 SECTION 6, This urgency ordinance shall take effect
la immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
11 (15) days after its passage sha11 be published once with the names
Z2 of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against
].3 the same in the Gridley Herald, a newspaper in genexal circulation
~.4 in the County of Butte, State of California. The facts constituting
15 Ize urgency on which tl~is Ordinance is based are:
