AN ORDTNANGE.ZONTNG A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNTA, AN "R-2" (DUPLEX
RESIDENTTAL) DTSTRTGT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the Gounty of Butte, State of
2- Gala.fornia, under._and pursuant-to.Chap.ter.2.4-29 of.the Butte Gounty.
3 Cade of said Gounty DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTTON I. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
6 zoned as an "R-Z" (Duplex Residential} District, and such area shall
7 be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations
8 hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 area of Butte County, Oroville, more particularly described as

12 All that certain real property situated in the
County of Butte, State of California, described as
13 follows:
14 A portion of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 1, Tl9N, R3E
MDB~,M, and being more particularly described as
15 follows:
16 Commencing at a point in the centerline
of Nelson Avenue (8Q feet wide) as shown an
17 that certain Map of Thermalito, recorded

point being also a paint in the southerly
19 prolongation of the W line of Lot 58, according
to the Official Map of Oroville-Wyandotte Fruit

11 of Maps, at page 16, said southerly prolonga-
21 tiara being a line 30 feet westerly of and ..parallel
with the W line of Lot g, Block 132, of said map of
22 Thermalito, also from said point of beginning the
W 1/4 coiner of said Sec. 1 bears N 4° 23' E, 2b10.96
23 ft. distant; thence along said Nelson Avenue center-
line S 88° 38' E 835.31 ft. to its intersection with
24 the centerline of twelfth Street; thence continuing
S 88° 38' E, 1822.22 ft. to its intersection with

Book 773 of Butte County Official Records, at
page 341; thence along the W and N Tine of
said School parcel, N 1° 27' E 840 ft, and S
88° 30' E 720 ft. to the NE corner of said

ft, to a point in the centerline of that certain
easement as contained. in deed from Thermalito
Irrigation District, to County of Butte, dated

line of that certain parcel of land described zn

W line of last mentioned School parcel, and being
along the centerline of said road easement to the -
N line of the S 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of -said Sec. 1;
thence -N 88° Z7' W 1840.45 ft. along said ~N line
of the S 1/Z of the SE 1/4 of said Section to the
SE carner~ of Lot 53 of aforesaid Oroville-Wyandotte
.Fruit Sands Unit No. l which point is E 30 ft. from
the NE corner of Lot 1 o~f aforesaid Block 132 of map of
Thermalito; thence S 0° 03' W para11e1 with and 30
ft. distant easterly from said E line of said Lot ~.,
a distance af~1305,78 feet to the true point of
beginning,
Containing 40.18 acres, more or less, Or_oville.
SECTION 2, REGULATIONS FOR AN "R~-2" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall app~.y in an "R-Z" District
{A) USES PERMITTED:

(B) THE FOLLOWING USES ARE PERMITTED SUBJECT TO SECURING
A USE PERMIT IN EACH CASE:
1. Golf courses and country clubs.
2. Public and quasi.-public uses including churches, fire-
houses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds, schools and
public utility buildings.
3. Sales tract office.
{C) THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 24-33 SHALL APPLY.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTIDN 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chaptex 24, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties far the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and after
its effective data become a supplement to and part of the butte
County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION b. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full farce and affect from and after thirty (3Q)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen {15) days after its passage-, this Ordinance shall be

published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors .voting .f or and against it._in the.Oro.ville.M~rcury.,.a
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 28th day of August
1979, by the following vote:
