AN ORDINANCE ZONTNG A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIF'ORNTA, A r'~~-2" (HEAVY
INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte Caunty
3 Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in the
5 Caunty of Butte, State of California, shall. be and it is hereby
g zoned as a ":~1-2t' (Heavy Industrial) District, and such area shall
7 be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses ancl~regulat~ons
8 hexeina.fter specified and prov~.ded.
g Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
lp area of Butte County, Oroville, more particularly described ~.s

12 All that certain real property situated in the
Caunty of Butte, State of California, described
13 as follows:

in Section 36, T19N, R3E, MDB~M, lying within

8 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "~+S-2" DISTRICT.
g The following regulations shall apply in a "M-2" District.

17 and sandpaper manufacturing, enameling, feed and
lg cereal mills, foundries, freight. terminals, galvanizin,
lg and lead plating, glass or glass product manufacturing
20 lampblack manufacturing, machinery manufacturing,_.soda
21 and cleaning compound manufacturing, match manufactur-

woodworking plants, yeast plants and other similar
industrial enterprises or businesses in character to
those enumerated when interpreted as similar by the
planning commission.
3. Canneries, olive processing plants and other agricul-
tural processing plants of similar nature.
4. Accessory uses and buildings permitted pertinent to
any permitted use:
(B) THE FOLLOWING USES ARE PERMITTED SUBJECT TO THE SECUR=

2. Commercial distillation of banes, abattoirs, auction
yards, commercial livestock feed yards, commercial mil -
ings, canneries, iumbex and lumber processing, tan-~~"~

raising, food and agriculture product processing plant .

5. Manufacturing of acids, explosives, fertilizer, glue,
gypsum, lime, plaster .of paris, pulp and paper, beet
sugar, crushed rock, sand and gravel, cement, concrete

pxoducts.
2 6. Industrial uses which might be objectionable by
3 reason of emission of noise, offensive odor, smo~:e,
4 dust, brig'nt light, vibxation or involving the handlin
~ of explosives or dangerous materials.
g 7. Junkyards and auto wrecking yards.
q (C) THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 2~-33 OF THIS CODE ARE

5. Off-street parking:
One parking space for each three [3} employees, or one
parking space for each two thousand {2,00} square
feet of gross floor space, whichever~~ is grea.tcr.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Cade, Chapter 24,-the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full,
SECTION 5, The penalties far the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Butte County Code, Chapter Z4, this Ordinance shall from and after
-its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte
County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
{declared to be in full farce and effect from and after thirty {30}
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen {l5} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of tl~e Board of
Supervisors vo'~ingfor and against it in the Oroville ~.~ercury, a
neirspaper published in the ~Courity of Butte, ~St"ate .or California,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of 5upervisars of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 25~h day of September
1979, by floe following vote:
