Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering an,d traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter des-
cribed come:- within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of
the State of California, in that speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles pex hour±
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways and determines and
declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows;
That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles per hour is
hereby determined, declared and establ~,shed and thaty5i'EED LIMIT 25 MILES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter -described county
high.~rays,to wit:
MONTE VISTA A~TENUE from LOWER WyANDOTTE ROAD TO EAST END
FORESTVIEW DRIVE from LOWER WYANDOTTE ROAD TO END

Section 2: A1_1, ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict hexeurith
are hereby repealed. .
Section is The several features, parts provisions, sections and terms
of this ord?L-zance are hereby declared independent and severable and the
invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section, or term thereof,,
shall not af.~ect the remainder o£ this ordinance, zior render the same

Section 4: 'The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice. of the prima facie.,
speed limits established herein, within thirty {30) days of the adoption hereof.
'This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its passage,
and before the expiration of fifteen {l5) days after its passage, it shall
be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
~ California.
