Section 1. That Chapter 4, Article d, §/~-4 of the
Butte County Code is hereby amended by adding §4-4.5 to read as
.follows:
§4-4.5. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary
contained in Chapter 4 of the Butte County Code, the X7.50 late
dag licensing penalty, as provided for in Chapter 4, Article 1,
§4-4, is suspended for a period of one nnonth commenciz~.g on
;January l5, 1980, and ending on February 15, 1980. This section
shall be of no force and effect after February 15, 1980.
Section 2. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage shall be published once with
the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for
and against the same in the Chaco Enter rase record a
newspaper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State
of California.
The fact constituting urgency on which this ordinance
is based is that the ordinance will allow more dogs in the
County of Butte to be registered and vaccinated so~ as to protect
the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the County by
reducing the incidences of. rabbles in the County of Butte.
