AN ORDTNANCE ZONTNG A PDRTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "SR-1" (SUBURBAN
RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
Cala:farn.ia, under and. _pursuant to Chpater 2.4.-29 of the Butte _County
Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
'the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "SR-1" (Suburban residential - l acre parcels) District,
(and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted
8 uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated

area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as follows:
Lot 3 of that parcel map recorded in Map Book
59 on Pages 18 and l9 in the office of the
Butte County Recorder.
Containing 75.68 acres, mare or Tess, Chico.
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "SR-1" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in an "SR-1"
District.
(A} USES PERMITTED:
1. One single-f amity dwelling per parcel, not including
tents, trailers or mobile homes.
2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
3. Agricultural uses excepting a minimum lot area of
forty-three thousand five hundred sixty (43,560)
. square feet to be devoted to residential use and the

5 (B) THE FOLLOWING USES ARE PERMITTED SUBJECT TO SECURING

q 1. Golf courses and country clubs.
g 2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches, fire-
g houses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and
IO public utility buildings.
I1 3. Sales tract office.
12 (C) SECTION 24-33 SHALL APPLY EXCEPTING LOT WIDTH AND LOT
13 AREA:
I.eT 1. The minimum lot area per dwelling unit shall not be
15 less than one acre, the prQVisa.ons of section 24-33
16 notwithstanding.
I7 2. The minimum lot width shall not be less than. one
18 hundred thirty (l30) feet, the provisions of section
19 24-33 notwithstanding.
20 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
2I specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited. .
22 SECTION 4. Tn compliance with the provisions of said
23 utte County Code,_Ghapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding
24 his Ordinance in full.
2g SECTION 5, The penalties fnr the violation of the zoning
26 ereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the

2 its effective~~date -became a supplement to and part of the Bu.t.t.e ~.
3 County Code, Chapter 24.
4 SECTION 6, This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
5 eclared to be in fu3.l force and effect from and after thirty (30]
6 ays after the date of its. passage, and before the expiration, of
7 fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
8 ublished once with the names of the members of the Board of
9 upervisors voting for and against it in the Chico Enterprise Rico
10 newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
11 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
12 ounty of Butte, State of California, on the 22nd day of 3anuary
