AN ORDINANCE _~TABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON CER_ yN ROADS
WITH THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter des-
cribed comes within the provisions of Section 2235$ of the Vehicle Code of
the Stare of California, in that speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways and determines and
declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows:
't'hat a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour is
hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county
highways to wit:
EVANS REIMER ROAD from LARKIN ROAD TO ALEXANDER AVENUE
'THRESHER AVENUE from EVANS-REIMER ROAD TO CI;~Ri}X AVENUE
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable and the
invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section, or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same
inoperative or invalid.
Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limits established herein, within thirty (3O) days of the adoption
hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty {30) days after its passage,

and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be
published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
once in a local newspaper published. in the County of Butte, State of
California .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 23rd day of
